Jeff Morgan: Manager/ Performance Coach
Jeff Morgan attended Cabrini College on a lacrosse scholarship where he was starting midfielder for two years before transferring to the University Of Delaware. After college he played semi-pro football for two years before getting invited to the pro scout combine. At this combine he scored in the top 5% of all attendees earning him an invitation to the NFL elite combine in Indianapolis, Indiana. Jeff produced high scores in the pro agility, vertical jump, bench press and forty tests which were performed in front of several scouts from the NFL, CFL, AFL and NFLE. During this time he took the manager position at the Bryn Mawr facility now located in Villanova. There he worked with such players as Willie Green (Philadelphia 76ers), Jameer Nelson (Orlando Magic), Kyle Lowry (Memphis Grizzlies), Steve Smith (NBA), Dwayne Jones (Cleveland Cavaliers), Chris Vincent (Arizona Cardinals), Demetrious Hopkins (Light Heavyweight champ), Harry Yorgey (154lb Boxer), and several other NBA, NBADL, NFL, and AFL players. He also served as strength coach with Saint Josephs University Men’s and Women’s basketball teams over the past two seasons. Most recently Jeff participated in Slam ball, a full-contact sport that involves trampolines built into the floor using rules from football, basketball, hockey and gymnastics. He survived tryouts and played the Stopper position for the MOB. Jeff’s other hobbies include Boxing and Ju-Jitsu, and participated in tough man competitions.

Jana Rediger: Morning Fitness Director/ Performance Coach

As a graduate of Pennridge High school, Jana earned all-state honors in Basketball.  She attended Villanova University on a full five-year Basketball scholarship. While at Villanova, she helped the team achieve a ranking of 8th in the nation and to defeat the University of Connecticut to win the Big East Championship.  Jana held the Villanova record for the most blocks in a sweet sixteen game with seven blocks.  She received a B.A. in Communications and continues to study towards a graduate degree.
Jana played basketball professionally in Germany and Finland for several years and coached camps in Ireland.  She has served as a coach at numerous camps and clinics, including numerous Villanova Team Camps and Clinics, and spoke at The Mary Anne Crowe Camp.  In the fall of 2005, she ran the preseason strength and Conditioning program for Centenary College in NJ.  Jana is also currently working towards her NASM certification and continues to expand her knowledge of sports specific training and fitness.  She has been working at Summit Sports Training Center for over five years as a Sports Performance Coach and recently Morning Fitness Director.

Jim Gorman: Performance Coach
Jim’s fascination with weights and training began at Wyomissing Area High School where he was a three sports athlete. He graduated with a B.S in Health and Physical Education from West Chester University where he played football and was a member of the power lifting team. He worked at a series of fitness centers in Reading, PA, managing two of them. Jim was a competitor in power lifting, in addition to coached three individual state champions in bodybuilding and two in power lifting. He promoted NPC PA state bodybuilding championships in 1986 & 1988.

Jim has been a member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) since 1986, he earned his Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist Credential (CSCS) in the national exams in 1987. Joined Sports Physical Therapists in Bala Cynwyd and supervised the centers fitness programs in addition to assisting staff therapists. Also assisted Pat Croce in conditioning Philadelphia 76ers for several years and served as the full time strength and conditioning coach in both 1993-94 and 1996-97. Named Philadelphia Magazines “Best of Philly” personal trainer in 1996. Head strength and conditioning coach for Philadelphia Rage (ABL) in 1997-98, a team that included All-Star Dawn Staley. Strength & conditioning coordinator for La Salle men’s basketball team 2000-01, team members included Victor Thomas and Raual Butler.

Rodrick McDowell: Performance Coach
Rod received his Bachelor of Science in Sport Management in 2007 from Neumann College. He received All-Catholic and All-County honors in football and baseball, as well as bowling, while attending Kennedy-Kenrick Catholic High School in Norristown. He is currently the assistant coach for the Kennedy-Kenrick bowling team. Rod is also a former varsity assistant coach for football and baseball, and former head coach for the freshman baseball and football teams at KKCHS. He is currently studying to receive his NASM Certification.

Kirstin Defusco: Performance Coach
Kirstin attended Drew University where she received a B.A. in psychology. While at Drew, she was a four-year letter-athlete on the field hockey team in the defense and midfield. She also earned a spot on the Middle Atlantic Conference All-Academic team. During her tenure, she was a member of two conference championship teams as well as making an appearance in the NCAA Sweet Sixteen in 2004. The team traveled to Australia in 2005, where they played against top level field hockey teams in Sydney, Gold Coast and Cairns. In her senior year, she was unanimously voted captain by her teammates. In her junior year at Drew, she was recruited to play for their nationally ranked lacrosse team as a midfielder. In the two years that she played, she proved to be a central member and helped her team to win the MAC title and an appearance in the NCAA Sweet Sixteen in her senior year. In 2007, the team had the opportunity to travel to Europe competing in Ireland, England and Scotland against the national teams of each country. In order to maintain and improve her athletic ability, Kirstin also trained at Summit during the off-seasons of her collegiate career.

Upon graduating in 2007, she became the head junior varsity coach for the field hockey team at Kent Place School. In the following seasons, she coached volleyball and lacrosse at The Peck School. She is also involved in numerous youth programs, camps and clinics in both field hockey and lacrosse. A native of the Philadelphia area, Kirstin graduated in 2003 from Germantown Academy where she was a four-year member of the field hockey and swim teams. Kirstin is currently a graduate assistant working towards her Master’s degree in Sports Psychology at Temple University.
