Plyometrics refers to exercise that enables a muscle to reach maximum force in the shortest possible time.

A progressive series of multi-directional jump drills that improve the athlete’s bounche, directional movement, vertical jump, and explosive strength. Plyometrics train the movement receptors in the joints by stimulating the stretch-reflex, or “land jump” abilities of the hips, knees, and ankles. With repetition, the athlete can significantly lower reaction time which translates into greater running speed, jumping power, and cutting ability.
